  3. Drug advertisements not approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

  4. Ads that show pornographic, vulgar, and violent images.

  5. Alcoholic beverages and cigarette ads.

  6. Gambling ads.

  7. The ads are provocative of religion, race, ethnicity, and nation.

  8. Occult Science and possession ads.

  9. Pork ads, pork products, and publications.

  10. Ads related to explosives or dangerous substances; Examples of Fireworks.

  11. Advertising related to employment and marriage agencies without a valid license.

  12. Any ads that not in accordance with the Malaysian Code of Advertising Practice.

HOW TO design A CREATIVE ?

There are many mobile apps, web-based platforms, and software to design a creative. We strongly recommend using Canva for your new creatives. Canva is a web-based graphic design platform that allows users to create graphics, presentations, posters, and other visual content. It is available on web and mobile and integrates millions of images, fonts, templates, and illustrations. Use Canva’s drag-and-drop feature and professional layouts to design consistently stunning creative.

Before we start designing a creative, there are few simple guidelines, tips & tricks that need to be followed for better outcome.  

How to design a creative?

Make it Simple

The creative should be simple, clear, precise, and readable from a variable distance. As a general rule, the best creative consists of ONE logo, ONE image, and SEVEN words or less.

Use bold and clear fonts

Digital Taxi Top creative designs should be easily visible from 50 meters. Recommended to use a minimum font size of 32 and anything below it is barely seen from long distance. Use a font that doesn't consist of thin lines and cursive that may seem blurred to a viewer. Always increase the font and image size if you have available space.  Adding an outline to your text will help to separate it from the background. 

Use image with transparent background

One of the benefits of using transparent backgrounds is that you can stack with other design elements to create interesting creative by layering different colors, photos, or shapes.

TIPS & TRICKs

The following creative is an example of how an ABC University may advertise in the Neuron platform. It's simple but very significant to the student.

You may combine multiple creatives to produce a slideshow. We recommended creating a maximum of 3 pages so that each page can get airtime of 3, 3, 4 seconds (total 10s). Just name it as 1, 2, and 3 and upload it into our platform. We will convert it into a slideshow with eye-catching transition. 

Evaluate your creative

Step 5 meters from your computer screen and you'll get a sense of what it looks like when seen from a distance. Watch your creative for 5 seconds, can you read the entire message over this time? If not, then it cannot be read also by motorists.

Creating in canva

After creating an account, click “Create a design”, click "+ Custom dimensions", enter dimensions of “900 x 300” px and click “Create design” to start designing your creative. Recommended to use free template, free image & free video or your own image.
